The Most Unexpected Messages I've Received During Readings

Every mediumship reading carries the possibility of something unexpected. People often come seeking reassurance, connection, or a simple message from someone they have lost. What comes through, however, can sometimes be far more profound—and far more difficult to receive and share.

Over the years, I have received messages from deceased souls expressing apologies for things they did during their lives. Hearing someone acknowledge their actions and convey genuine remorse can be deeply moving, particularly when those left behind have carried unanswered questions for years.

There have also been occasions when a message has come through as a warning concerning the potential suicide of a loved one. These are among the most serious and emotionally difficult messages a medium can encounter and share. They carry an enormous sense of responsibility, because what is received must be handled with care, compassion, and appropriate concern for the living.

Some messages have carried profound anger and grief.

I have experienced communication from someone who conveyed intense anger about being killed by a person who was driving under the influence—an act that left her young children without their mother and a husband without his wife. To feel the devastation surrounding such a loss, and the consequences it created for an entire family, is harrowing.

I remember doing a reading for a father who had lost his daughter to suicide. When she came through, I could sense her sitting beside me as she relayed important details. As I shared each one, I watched him weep in recognition and acknowledgment of what only the two of them could know. At the same time, I could feel something shifting within her—a sense of healing, even though she was now in spirit.

Experiences like this remind me that this work is not for the faint of heart.

It requires someone who is deeply grounded, aware, balanced, sensitive, and responsible enough to understand the weight of what they are receiving and the impact it can have on those listening.

These are not necessarily the moments people imagine when they think of mediumship.

Mediumship is not always gentle, comforting, or wrapped in beautiful words. Sometimes it brings forward regret, unfinished emotions, warnings, injustice, grief, anger, and consequences.

As a medium, receiving such communication can be emotionally demanding because you are often standing in the space between those who desperately want answers and those who are no longer physically here to give them.

These unexpected messages are often the ones that remain with me longest.

They remind me that beneath every reading is something profoundly human: relationships, choices, mistakes, love, loss, and the enduring desire to be heard, understood, forgiven, or remembered.
