The Future Isn’t Fixed

We often talk about the future as though it has already been written. We ask:

  • What is going to happen?

  • Where is my life headed?

  • Will this relationship work out?

  • Will I find the right opportunity?

  • What does my future hold?

But what if the future isn't a single predetermined path? What if it is a collection of possibilities, shaped by our choices, circumstances, timing, and the people we encounter along the way?

The Future Is Full of Possibilities

Every decision we make can create movement. A conversation can change a relationship.

  • A new opportunity can change a career.

  • A moment of courage can change the direction of a life.

  • Even seeing an old situation from a new perspective can change what we choose to do next.

This doesn't mean that we control everything. Life brings circumstances we didn't choose. Other people have their own free will. Unexpected events can alter even the most carefully constructed plans.

Yet within those circumstances, there may be choices and possibilities that we cannot see from where we are standing today. That is why the future isn't always fixed.

Intuition Isn't About Taking Away Your Choices

For those who seek guidance through intuition, psychic awareness, mediumship, or spiritual exploration, this distinction is especially important. An intuitive impression can reveal a potential direction without necessarily describing an unavoidable outcome.

  • You may sense that a relationship is approaching a turning point.

  • You may feel that an opportunity is coming into your life.

  • You may intuit that you are entering a period of profound personal change.

But sensing a possibility is not the same as declaring a destiny. Sometimes what we perceive is not simply what will happen, but what could happen if the current circumstances and choices continue unchanged. That difference can be empowering.

You Are Not Just Watching Your Life Unfold

It can be tempting to think of ourselves as passengers on a journey that has already been mapped out. But life is often more like a conversation between circumstance and choice.

  • We encounter situations.

  • We respond to them.

  • Our responses create new circumstances, which then give us new choices.

Imagine standing at a crossroads.

  • One road represents what you have been doing.

  • Another represents something unfamiliar.

  • A third road may not even be visible yet.

An intuitive perspective may help you become aware of possibilities you hadn't considered—but you still decide which direction to explore. That is where personal agency becomes so important. Intuition should not close doors. It should help you see them.

What If the Future Changes?

Sometimes people become anxious about an intuitive impression because they interpret it as a prediction carved permanently into stone. But consider this: If you become aware that a particular path may lead to difficulty, does that mean you have to continue down it? No.

  • You can pause.

  • You can reconsider.

  • You can have a different conversation.

  • You can make a different decision.

  • You can change your approach.

  • And sometimes, the very act of becoming aware of a possible outcome gives you the opportunity to create something different.

In that sense, awareness can become part of the process that changes the future.

The Most Important Question May Be “What Now?”

We don't need to know everything that will happen tomorrow to make meaningful choices today.

Perhaps instead of asking: “What is going to happen to me?” we can sometimes ask: “What can I do now that moves me toward the future I want?” That question brings us back to the present.

  • The present is where we make decisions.

  • It is where we communicate.

  • It is where we heal, grow, reconsider, begin again, and choose our next step.

  • The future may contain patterns, probabilities, opportunities, and possibilities.

But it also contains something profoundly human: choice. Perhaps that is why the future isn't always fixed. Perhaps the future is continually being shaped—one decision, one conversation, one insight, and one moment at a time. And sometimes, the most hopeful thing we can discover about tomorrow is simply this: Tomorrow is still open.

Ready to Explore What May Be Ahead?

If you're standing at a crossroads, facing uncertainty, or simply feeling called to understand the possibilities surrounding you, an intuitive session can offer a fresh perspective.

A session isn't about taking away your choices or telling you that your future is carved in stone. It can be an opportunity to explore the energies, patterns, possibilities, and questions surrounding your life—and gain greater clarity about the path ahead.

Your future may not be fixed. Your choices still matter. If you're ready to explore what may be unfolding, I invite you to book a private session with Terry Andersen. Book Your Session
